Fire Prevention - Introduction

In the event of a fire in the workplace, identifying it at an early start stage can minimize its devastating effects. A key factor in the execution of a fire evacuation procedure is knowing what to do and when to do it.

In this course you will learn how to assess fire risks and prevent potential fires. You will learn more about the elements of the fire triangle, the devastating effects of fire and some of the ways fire can spread to other areas. You will also look at the methods of fire detection, some of the equipment used in fire detection and the responsibility of maintaining fire detection methods and equipment.
